All under heaven, 2026
Cyanotypes on 300g watercolor paper292 × 194 cmWorking at the intersection of photography, ecology, and digital technology, César Augusto Ramírez (b. Iquitos, Peru) interrogates the image as a political object and as constructed reality. Shaped by his early childhood in the Peruvian Amazon, his practice interweaves concerns around the natural world, the condition of the Other, and the capacity of new technologies to fabricate alternative forms of life and alterity. His work questions the indexical nature of the image, its material limits, and the ideological forces that configure it.
Ramírez was born in Iquitos and grew up in Lima before emigrating to Paris, France in 2022. He received his Master's degree in Fine Arts from the Sorbonne (Paris 1) in 2026.
